How to get to Brno?

BY PLANE
The Brno International Airport is located 7.5 km southeast of the city center. The airport terminal is approximately 2 km from the D1 highway, near Exit 201 Brno-Slatina. Paid parking (10 minute drop-off is free) is available in front of the terminal and is also suitable for long term parking. The express city bus line number 76 stops at the terminal and travels to one of the main bus stations at the Grand Hotel in the city centre with a total journey time of approximately 20 minutes. Taxis are also available to in front of the terminal. Several low-cost airlines operate flights from the airport - Ryanair, Wizz Air and UT Air.
Ryanair connects Brno to London (Standstead) daily.

Wizz Air competes on this route and flies to London Luton airport. In addition, flights are available to Eindhoven, where it is possible to connect to other destinations for a low cost.
UT Air offers a direct connection to Moscow Vnukovo airport.

To add to this, Brno also offers a large number of charter flights to popular holiday destinations, such as Turkey (Antalya), Greece (Corfu, Heraklion, Kavala, Kos, Lesbos, Rhodes, Zakynthos, Thessaloniki), Spain (Almeria), Bulgaria (Burgas) or Tunisia (Djerba).

BY CAR
Brno can be easily reached from all major cities in the Czech Republic (including Prague, Olomouc, Ostrava) through a large network of highways and motorways.

Prague - Brno - distance: 208 km, time: 2 h 07 min
Olomouc - Brno - distance: 77 km, time: 52 min
Ostrava - Brno - distance: 170 km, time: 1 h 40 min

For travel on highways in the Czech Republic, a vignette sticker is necessary. Sections, where the motorway vignette is required, are marked with a typical "highway" or "motorway" traffic sign. Motorways and highways that are free of charge are marked by a traffic sign "free of charge" (a picture of a crossed-out vignette) together with the standard highway/motorway traffic sign. Vignettes can be purchased at all Czech Post branches, fuel stations, border crossings and other places providing services for motorists.

Parking in the city of Brno is possible only in designated areas and is mostly paid. In the outer areas of the city there are larger parking lots. There are also several underground and above-ground garages available.
